Founder, Ballet Instructor, and Community Advocate
Originally from New England, Sophia Meyers embarked on her ballet journey under the guidance of renowned instructors such as Damara Bennett (San Francisco Ballet), Gloria Govrin (New York City Ballet), and Melinda Howe (Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet). With a curriculum influenced by CPYB’s Proven Teaching Syllabus© and the Balanchine style of the School of American Ballet, Sophia is dedicated to sharing the joy of ballet and making a positive impact on young lives.
Nurturing Talent:
Sophia believes in the equal potential of every child, and is dedicated to cultivating each student’s unique talents in an environment where creativity, hard work, and artistic expression thrive. At Core Ballet School, students not only enhance their technical skills but also gain confidence and tools for living a balanced, fulfilling life: both on and off stage.
Connecting with a Purpose:
Core Ballet School invites not only fellow dancers, educators, and individuals passionate about the arts, but those dedicated to giving back to the community to connect with our team. Whether you are interested in discussing ballet techniques, exploring collaborative community projects, or sharing insights on our youth’s education and environment, feel free to reach out and work with us to change lives through dance!
